Ecklonia Maxima Seaweed.
Giant kelp.
Resilient by nature.
For almost five decades, Kelpak has harvested Ecklonia maxima to produce a natural biostimulant that supports crop resilience, plant health and productivity. Found only off the southern tip of Africa, this giant kelp can grow up to eight metres from the seafloor, nourished by the cold, nutrient-rich waters of the Benguela Current.

The kelp is hand harvested by divers.
Harvesting with care.
The seaweed is hand-harvested by divers using a carefully managed, staggered harvesting system. The kelp is harvested at the same growth stage that powerful ocean swells naturally break older plants, allowing sunlight and space for younger kelp to regenerate.
This sustainable harvesting approach helps protect the long-term health of the kelp beds while ensuring a consistent end-product. Combined with decades of environmental monitoring and scientific research, Kelpak’s harvesting practices support both ecological sustainability and consistent product quality.
From one of the world’s most formidable marine ecosystems comes a resource uniquely suited to helping crops thrive in an increasingly challenging agricultural environment.
