    Kelp Programs

    Our Programmes

Kelpak fits the equipment you already own — foliar, drip, in-furrow, seed dip, drench. Below, the rate and timing for each crop, set by the growth stage it needs to hit.

    Applications

Easy to apply with most standard application methods.

    Explore the Benefits

Kelpak works with the equipment already on your farm. Foliar, in-furrow, drip, seed treatment, root dip — there's a method for every operation and every season, and because it's compatible with most crop protection chemicals and foliar feeds, it goes straight into your existing programme.

    Turbo mist spray.

Kelpak is compatible with most foliar application methods, including the various turbo fan sprayer types. Recommended application rates typically range from 2–4 L/ha. When spray volumes exceed 1,000 L/ha, the ratio of Kelpak to water should be adjusted to maintain a dilution rate of 1:300.

    Electrostatic sprayer.

Kelpak can be used in electrostatic sprayers without causing clogging or blockages. Electrostatic sprayers are mostly used in table grapes at a rate of 4-5 L/ha, and applied in about 80-120 L water/ha.

    Drip irrigation.

Kelpak can be applied using drip irrigation methods. Apply as pulse at the end of irrigation cycle and do not dilute more than 1:1000. Flush system after application.

    Aerial application.

Kelpak can also be used in standard aerial applications. Standard rates for foliar application apply. Usually aerial sprays are applied in approximately 30 L/ha water. Kelpak is also suitable for use in drone applications - please test nozzle size is sufficient before full application.

    Root soak.

Bare roots from trees or plants can be soaked in a Kelpak Liquid Fertiliser solution of 0.5-1% before plant out.

    Soil drench.

Kelpak can be applied as soil drench around the root base of trees and plants or seedbeds in a 0.5-1% solution.

    Seed treatment.

Kelpak is highly effective as a direct seed dip for coating before planting. Seed coating is recommended at a rate of 5 ml/kg of seed. Soak seed in bag for up to 5 minutes.

    In furrow spray.

Kelpak can be sprayed directly in-furrow as an alternative to dipping. Spray seed potaties with Kelpak at a rate of 1 L/ha directly in the furrow with planter equipment.

    Seedling tray dip.

Kelpak can be used as seedling tray dip. Immerse the entire seedling tray in a 1% solution or apply as a light hand-watering.

    Unlocking crop potential.

    Application protocols for best advantage

Kelpak's efficacy and cost-effectiveness have established it as a market leader in seaweed biostimulants across over 100 countries. To ensure consistent results, we recommend closely following the Kelpak application guide and applying only under ideal conditions, including time of day, temperatures within an acceptable range, low wind and humidity and when the plant is metabolically more active.

    How Kelpak builds resilience

    Application rates and timing:

Kelpak’s efficacy as a cost-effective crop input has been demonstrated through hundreds of independent scientific trials conducted around the globe, under a wide range of climatic conditions and across diverse crops. This natural product has broad application potential, is easy to apply and is compatible with most crop protection products and foliar feeds. See the recommended application rates and timings below.
